The ultra-high-speed reamer "Hyper Reamer," developed by Asahi Tool Manufacturing Co., Ltd., is a high-speed, high-efficiency reamer capable of machining at speeds of 80 to 120 m/min. It is re-coatable and can be used for a long time even after regrinding. The diameter change after regrinding is within 1 μm, and it employs a special thin-film coating for reamers, resulting in minimal diameter change and stable tool usage. It features a reusable shank, allowing for significant cost reduction by only replacing the head. After reaching the regrinding limit, replacing only the head achieves reduced running costs. This also contributes to efforts towards SDGs. It is available in OH through-hole type and branch hole type, accommodating both through holes and blind holes. The squaring face, outer peripheral edge, and bottom edge have undergone mirror polishing with diamond grit size 2000, which suppresses the generation of cutting edges. Compared to conventional end mills, the squaring angle and clearance angle have been increased (compared to our products), improving cutting performance. Additionally, to facilitate smooth chip removal, the chip pocket has been enlarged. The series also includes an AD (DLC) coating option, which offers enhanced resistance to adhesion, wear resistance, and a lower coefficient of friction, enabling excellent surface finish at high speeds. With both centers attached, stepping can be done easily and with high precision. 2. With the shank finished and grooves already cut, it can start from the intermediate process, allowing for ultra-short delivery times. 3. By mirror polishing the squaring surface, stepping can be done while preventing welding, resulting in a long lifespan. If you have a dedicated polishing room, it can be done immediately. If you know a nearby polishing factory, it can be completed in 2 to 3 days. Even with manufacturer processing, it can be finished in 7 to 12 days.
