The spread of 5G high-speed, large-capacity communication is expected to lead to higher power requirements for server power supplies. Nippon Chemi-Con has upgraded its KHE series of board-mounted aluminum electrolytic capacitors, achieving world-class capacitance levels. The KHE series, guaranteed for 2,000 hours at 105°C, features a product with a capacitance of 1,000µF at 450V, sized at a diameter of 30mm and a height of 60mm. This allows for the configuration of what used to require two capacitors (in the case of the KMW series, 450V470µF with a diameter of 30mm and a height of 45mm) into a single capacitor. By installing the φ30 product horizontally, it can be mounted in a power supply with a height of 1U. Due to its large capacity, it ensures output hold time and can be used for PFC (Power Factor Correction).
