The Porous Alpha Deodorization System is an odor removal device developed by the Tottori Prefectural Livestock Experiment Station, utilizing glass foam material (Porous Alpha). When odor gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide pass through the countless fine pores of Porous Alpha, the odor components are adsorbed within the pores, and the adsorbed odor components are decomposed and deodorized by microorganisms that have settled on the Porous Alpha. It maintains a high deodorization capability without the need for substrate replacement for a semi-permanent period. ■ Product Features - Maintains high deodorization capability - Requires a small installation area - Low water and electricity costs - No need for regular replacement of deodorizing material The tanks of the deodorization system are available in various forms, such as steel plate, reinforced concrete, silo-type, and resin tanks, depending on the site conditions and scale.

A ventilation unit that allows for easy drying of compost by installing ventilation pipes on the floor and using a dedicated hot air device for heating and ventilation. Thanks to the fermentation heat of the raw materials and ventilation control, drying is completed in about 2 to 7 days just by piling up the raw materials. By utilizing fermentation heat, the running costs can be reduced to one-third to one-fifth compared to drying using fuel.

EasyJet is an unprecedented aeration technology that blows high-pressure air, 50 to 100 times that of a blower, into compost materials. Traditional ventilation methods often fail to provide sufficient oxygen due to uneven airflow and clogging, but EasyJet addresses these ventilation challenges. Aerobic fermentation requires sustained oxygen supply, and when the oxygen concentration in the compost materials decreases, the fermentation rate slows down, and if it falls below a certain threshold, aerobic reactions nearly stop. EasyJet supplies the necessary oxygen for fermentation evenly, allowing aerobic fermentation to continue and enhancing compost quality.

In this plant, the preparation work has been automated, and by eliminating the turning process in the fermentation stage, it enables operation with extremely low running costs. By combining ventilation methods, it is also possible to choose an operating method that uses returned compost. This allows for efficient moisture evaporation, ensuring the reliable production of returned compost. It helps to reduce the purchase amount of valuable auxiliary materials such as wood-based materials, achieving further reductions in running costs.

The sludge contains polymer coagulants, and during the preparation process using heavy machinery (loaders), large clumps can form when mixing with auxiliary materials, leading to longer preparation times. Depending on the operator's skills, there can be inconsistencies in the preparation, resulting in unsuccessful composting, which occurs frequently. This system automates the cumbersome sludge preparation process, allowing for stable processing throughout the year without being affected by work skills. The fermentation temperature rises quickly, enabling a reduction in the fermentation period. Additionally, there is no need for turning operations, allowing for operation with minimal personnel. The produced compost boasts high quality due to the sustained aerobic fermentation.

A food waste recycling plant that can compost without emitting foul odors, thanks to our know-how.
