Adimec will launch the S-25A30 as the first model in its new CMOS-based camera series, SAPPHIRE. This camera features the VITA25K image sensor, and Adimec has developed a new SAPPHIRE series camera platform for image measurement and inspection devices that require ultra-high-resolution images at high speeds. With its unique camera design, the S-25A30 finally achieves image quality comparable to CCDs, enabling the effective adoption of CMOS sensor technology in electronic manufacturing systems such as PCB inspection and flat panel inspection. The S-25A30 is a 25-megapixel CMOS global shutter camera that achieves a resolution of 5120x5120 pixels at 32fps. With the built-in ROI function, it is possible to set resolutions and speeds such as 100fps at 8 megapixels. Additionally, it is equipped with a defect pixel correction algorithm specifically designed for large area image sensors, allowing it to maintain high image uniformity even in conditions where many defective pixels are commonly found. Furthermore, it achieves low power consumption of 6.5W. With effective thermal design and a compact housing, it can be easily integrated into devices without unwanted noise caused by heat.

Adimec announced today the industry's first dual CoaXPress-compatible area scan camera, the Quartz Q-4A180/CXP. This product achieves the performance and convenience of the CoaXPress standard, and through the unique combination of Adimec True Accurate Imaging® and proven global shutter CMOS technology, it enables CCD-equivalent image quality at unparalleled speed. It achieves 180 fps transmission at 10-bit, with a resolution of 2048 x 2048, using two coaxial cables over 60 meters in length without the need for repeaters. This allows for long-distance transmission without the additional costs of repeaters or extenders, and the cost of these two cables is only about one-tenth that of a single camera link cable. Additionally, the CoaXPress standard supplies power over the same cable, eliminating the need for a separate power connection. At the Image Sensing Expo 2011 (June 8-10, Pacifico Yokohama), this product is scheduled to be demonstrated in combination with a frame grabber from Aval Data.

Adimec has announced the new models Qs-4A60 and Qs-2A120 of the Qs series. These cameras, equipped with CMOS sensors from CMOSIS, are designed to maximize the potential of the Camera Link-based communication protocol, improving throughput by 1.5 times that of a 2-tap configuration without compromising output resolution through the use of a 3-tap configuration. The products are scheduled to be demonstrated at the Image Sensing Exhibition 2011, which will be held in Yokohama from June 8 to 10. The Qs-4A60 achieves 4 million pixels at a maximum of 60 frames per second (fps), while the Qs-2A120 achieves 2 million pixels at a maximum of 114 frames per second (fps). This allows image systems to fully utilize the data transfer capabilities of Camera Link-based configurations. By combining the lookup table (LUT) function with the 3-tap configuration, it is possible to efficiently transmit 10-bit images at 1.5 times the speed of a similar 2-tap configuration over a single Camera Link cable, without the need for special cables or frame grabbers.
