Exhibiting at IPF Japan 2023! Joint exhibition with UBE Machinery.

Please take a look at the automatic processing machine that works in conjunction with UBE Machinery's molding machine, enabling the removal of products from the molding machine and processing while holding the products in mid-air.

We will be jointly exhibiting at the IPF Japan 2023 International Plastic Fair, held for the first time in six years, at the UBE Machinery booth. On the day of the event, you will be able to see our automatic processing machine in action, processing products alongside UBE Machinery's molding machines. 【Exhibition Content】 ◆ Demonstration of molding solutions using large injection molding machines. - A molding demonstration using 1050em3 with a focus on reducing CO2 emissions. - A demonstration of solutions for molding defects through post-processing with aerial trimming and secondary processing using two multi-axis robots. - Introduction of automation and labor-saving items such as traceability systems and remote operation systems as applications of the molding machines. We will showcase our automatic processing machine using two 6-axis articulated robots. One robot will directly remove products molded by UBE Machinery's equipment from the mold. Then, while holding the removed products in the air, the second robot will perform gate cutting and burr removal processing. The "low clamping force type injection molding system" is a low-pressure compression molding method that intentionally incorporates an overflow section (flash). Automation achieved with a ultrasonic cutter and end mill equipped with a learning mechanism!

This time, we would like to introduce a project that automated the deburring of the outer circumference and the finishing of the processing surface of a water storage tank (made of FRP material) using an ultrasonic cutter and end mill. [Request from a certain housing equipment manufacturer] Until now, all operations were done manually, with burrs being cut with a cutter and the finishing of the processing surface done with a file. However, they wanted to automate these tasks, and approached us for assistance. In response to the customer's request, we proposed the introduction of an "ultrasonic cutter and end mill with a tracing mechanism." In the primary processing stage, the ultrasonic cutter cuts the burrs on the outer circumference, and in the secondary processing stage, the end mill finishes the outer processing surface, creating a two-step process. With the tracing processing, we were able to perform machining that follows the distortion of the workpiece, achieving automation. Additionally, the realization of continuous processing using a hybrid tool equipped with both the ultrasonic cutter and end mill allowed for a reduction in processing time. *What is a hybrid tool?
