In a zinc-coated mechanical parking lot installed in a condominium, it became necessary to repaint and repair due to red rust caused by aging. However, painting on zinc-coated surfaces is generally prone to peeling, raising concerns about adhesion and stability. Therefore, we introduced our product, which is suitable for repairing zinc coatings. As a result, there was no need for a primer or topcoat, and painting on the zinc coating, which is considered difficult, was carried out stably. Our product is used on the galvanized steel stair handrails within this space. ◎ Exterior Finish The finish results in a calm matte silver color, suppressing the glare of galvanized steel, allowing it to blend into the natural landscape. We would like to introduce a case study of our product, the "Robal Series," applied at the Robal Corporation's Kitahama office located in Osaka City. Originally used as a rust preventive for iron and galvanized materials, "Robal" is showcased here in a decorative context. When Robal is applied to a steel plate, the finish appears monochrome. However, when applied to plywood, the texture follows the wood grain, expressing various brightness levels depending on the viewing angle. Moreover, by changing the orientation of the board, the way light hits it changes, allowing for a gradient effect to be observed.
