The 13th International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Applications (ICRERA2024) will be held from November 9 to 13, 2024. The Smart Energy Research Institute will exhibit the high-speed circuit simulator "Scideam" for power electronics as a sponsor of ICRERA. We invite you to stop by. Event Overview Currently, Japan is facing many challenges, including a major shift to green energy, the revitalization of the semiconductor industry, and the transition from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs). The development of digital technologies that support these challenges is also desired. To achieve carbon neutrality, which the government is promoting to solve these issues, researchers and engineers from around the world, including the IEEE, the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, and the Institute of Electrical Engineers, will gather to discuss solutions that address everything from devices to equipment and systems. Aiming to establish a "Provisional Advanced Green Digital Engineering School" as a green and digital research and education hub by 2027, our university co-hosts the International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Applications.

Free membership registrationOn July 16 and 23, 2024, a power electronics seminar hosted by Ryosan Co., Ltd. will be held. During the presentation, we will disassemble the actual power control units (PCUs) of the new and old Prius models and analyze the trends in power electronics miniaturization technology. Additionally, we will provide a detailed explanation of the effectiveness of front-loading development methods and the reduction of simulation time using Scideam (developed by the Smart Energy Research Institute). Seminar Overview Efforts to reduce CO2 emissions towards carbon neutrality are a significant challenge across various industries, including the automotive sector. Achieving this requires minimizing losses and miniaturizing converters; however, the traditional approach of repeated prototyping faces major challenges such as extended development periods and insufficient labor. This webinar will provide insights into solutions for the challenges faced by power electronics engineers.
