Asahi Fiberglass began operations in 1956 as Japan's first manufacturer specializing in fiberglass. Since then, we have supplied a variety of fiberglass products centered around energy-saving insulation materials like glass wool, while also striving to develop new applications and provide high-quality products to the market. During this time, fiberglass has expanded its applications not only in traditional fields such as insulation and sound-absorbing materials and reinforced structural materials but also as composite and high-performance materials in electronics, communications, space, biotechnology, and environmental conservation. It is now widely utilized in various aspects of our daily lives. To enhance customer satisfaction, we consistently adopt the perspective of our customers and aim for continuous value creation. We are actively working on expanding new businesses, including the development of new glass wool products, various types of insulation and sound-absorbing materials, high-performance new materials and composites in the industrial materials sector utilizing the composite material technologies accumulated throughout our company's history, and a diverse range of offerings in the building materials sector.

1) Insulation and Building Materials Business Production, processing, and sales of glass wool insulation and sound-absorbing materials, and roofing materials that contribute to energy conservation and environmental protection. 2) Industrial Materials Business Production, processing, and sales of thermoplastic resin pellets, automotive insulators (thermal insulation and sound-absorbing materials), and vacuum insulation materials. 【About "Aclear α"】 "Aclear α" is made from ultra-fine fibers in the range of 3μm (micrometers), making it the world's first residential glass wool product (according to our research as of May 28, 2014). It achieves a thermal conductivity of 0.032 (W/m·K) at a density of 36kg/m3. This performance is at the highest level in the world for residential glass wool insulation, and it is the only glass wool insulation that can meet the insulation performance and thermal resistance value (R-value) of 3.3 (m2·K/W) required for the walls of wooden houses in Hokkaido under the latest energy conservation standards for housing (revised in 2013: Supplementary Provision 5) with a standard column thickness of 105mm. It is a high insulation grade that further evolves the "Aclear" series, which uses materials that do not contain harmful substances like formaldehyde, known to be one of the causes of sick house syndrome.
