In this facility, there are nearby apartments, schools, and hospitals, and if problems become apparent after completion, it could hinder operations. There were challenges in verifying and predicting vibration isolation effects in advance. Therefore, we designed and examined the project according to the site conditions, quantitatively predicting the vibration isolation effects through desk studies. We would like to introduce a case study applying floating floor construction methods at a fitness (dance studio). The facility was concerned about vibration transmission to the hotel within the same building, and due to height restrictions for the new building, it was necessary to reduce the floor height to secure the number of guest room floors for the hotel. Therefore, we implemented height reduction by embedding coil springs into the floating floor and conducted on-site vibration measurements to confirm the vibration isolation effect after construction. Buildings adjacent to railways, such as hotels and music facilities, require measures to reduce the impact of vibrations and solid-borne sound generated during train operations, as the railway facilities are part of an integrated structure.
