Recently, in the press release announced by Sawai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. titled "Joint Development of Manufacturing Components to Ensure 'Stable Supply of Medicines' with Specialized Technical Manufacturers," a case was introduced where our TL division provided mold coating technology. The company adopted this technology to reduce the risk of troubles in the tablet pressing process, which involves solidifying powder to manufacture tablets. Currently, the product components, the pestle and mortar, have become less prone to dirt accumulation, allowing them to avoid manufacturing troubles caused by the tablet pressing process, and contributing to improvements in quality and productivity. *Pestle and Mortar: Precision molds used to compress powder into tablets. They consist of a mortar that serves as the hole for filling the powder and a pestle (upper and lower pestles) that applies pressure from above and below.
