Free membership registrationThe FlexPIV system consists of a 65mJ @ 15Hz dual cavity laser for illumination in small to medium areas, a 1.3M pixel CCD camera, and a 35mm F2.1 lens. It enables the measurement of flow velocities exceeding 100m/sec. The camera's frame rate is 15Hz and can be easily connected to a PC via a GigE network. The 3.5μm pixel pitch provides high sensitivity, reduces the effects of peak locking, and achieves spatial resolution below 1mm. The camera and laser are synchronized by a timing hub unit that allows for control of up to 8 channels. The timing hub unit can be directly connected to a PC via a USB interface. The timing hub unit and camera are integrated through our software, DynamicStudio. DynamicStudio provides complete control over hardware, tools, and functions, along with help features and video tutorials. It includes the latest analysis routines for PIV analysis, pre- and post-processing, and visualization capabilities, and allows for data transfer with MatLab and TecPlot.
