The PDA (Particle Dynamics Analyzer) is also well known as PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) and PDI (Phase Doppler Interferometer), and it has established itself as a measurement method for simultaneous measurement of particle size and flow velocity. The PDA is an extension of the laser Doppler anemometer (LDA), and both PDA and LDA are optical technologies that perform ideal non-contact point measurements in a wide range of fluid dynamics applications. A flow meter for non-contact measurement of gas and liquid velocities, which uses laser light irradiated into the flow and measures flow velocity through the Doppler shift caused by light scattering from fine particles. Active Target reduces human errors that occur with traditional stereo PIV and volume (Tomo) PIV/PTV in planar or three-dimensional targets, allowing for calibration to be completed in a shorter time. The target is equipped with LEDs, which can be automatically flashed through software control, enabling quick calibration in the depth direction. By using a traverse device, extensive calibration can be performed, and by connecting multiple targets, calibration for large areas can also be accommodated.

The hull, propeller, and construction at sea are globally used for the investigation and research of water flow fields. This system consists of waterproof modules and streamlined probes, minimizing disturbances in the water flow. It allows for easy attachment and detachment, as well as quick calibration and measurement. By using the probe traversing device, the system can be moved while maintaining positioning and calibration. With our software DynamicStudio, remote operation of the traversing device and camera, calibration, and automatic measurement and analysis are possible.

The FlexPIV system consists of a 65mJ @ 15Hz dual cavity laser for illumination in small to medium areas, a 1.3M pixel CCD camera, and a 35mm F2.1 lens. It enables the measurement of flow velocities exceeding 100m/sec. The camera's frame rate is 15Hz and can be easily connected to a PC via a GigE network. The 3.5μm pixel pitch provides high sensitivity, reduces the effects of peak locking, and achieves spatial resolution below 1mm. The camera and laser are synchronized by a timing hub unit that allows for control of up to 8 channels. The timing hub unit can be directly connected to a PC via a USB interface. The timing hub unit and camera are integrated through our software, DynamicStudio. DynamicStudio provides complete control over hardware, tools, and functions, along with help features and video tutorials. It includes the latest analysis routines for PIV analysis, pre- and post-processing, and visualization capabilities, and allows for data transfer with MatLab and TecPlot.
