The Coherent fiber laser equipped with its unique mode-variable technology ARM (Adjustable Ring Mode) has evolved into the third generation. It features patented beam combiner technology and a unique oscillator structure that delivers excellent performance, effectively addressing challenges in welding such as spatter and porosity, and is capable of shaping the optimal beam profile for processing. The third generation achieves miniaturization of the oscillator, increased output power, and high-speed communication, enabling improved manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction. The Coherent ARM fiber laser excels in output uniformity and resistance to reflected light, allowing automotive manufacturers and other OEMs engaged in mass production to tackle the demanding challenges of welding head-on.

We are enhancing cost competitiveness by utilizing the existing manufacturing line of high-volume data communication products and adopting all in-house sourced components. This is a new rack-type fiber laser module that is optimal for OEMs for processing machines. It does not require strict temperature management of the cooling water, which helps reduce maintenance costs for the equipment. The high brightness output of 3 kW can be applied in a wide range of fields, including cutting and welding in sheet metal processing. We also offer an integrated option that combines the fiber and a compact cutting head, making it easy to implement into equipment.

An industrial multi-kW single-mode fiber laser has been developed, offering excellent beam quality and stability at competitive prices. It features a compact rack-mounted design with output options ranging from 500 W to 3 kW. This wide lineup allows for the selection of lasers suitable for specific needs, from mass production to complex welding tasks. Coherent also provides related products such as beam delivery cables, processing heads, and process monitoring solutions, all designed to seamlessly integrate with the AIM FL. This integrated approach simplifies implementation, reduces costs, and enhances productivity.

It has a wavelength of 2 μm and offers a lineup of maximum 300 W CW oscillation models from a water-cooled QCW oscillation model. This new thulium fiber laser is suitable for medical applications such as stone crushing procedures and for industrial processing like transparent resin welding. Transparent resins are widely used in medical applications such as pharmaceutical sealed packages, and laser resin welding is widely adopted as a clean process that does not produce contamination.
