Sekisui Material Solutions Co., Ltd. conducted a virus inactivation test against the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) for its "Ethanol aqueous solution spray containing antiviral processing agents" at an external research institution (Nara Medical University Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and the MBT Consortium). The following effects were confirmed: ■ Confirmed Effects - Under certain conditions, when the ethanol aqueous solution spray containing antiviral processing agents was in contact with the novel coronavirus for one minute, the viral infectivity decreased by over 99%. - Under certain conditions, when the spray was applied to a film, and the film was exposed to the novel coronavirus for five minutes one month after spraying, the viral infectivity also decreased by over 99%. These results indicate that the ethanol aqueous solution spray containing antiviral processing agents and the sprayed film can inactivate the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in a short period. Additionally, the effectiveness observed with the film that was left for one month suggests the potential for long-term inactivation effects. Sekisui Material Solutions announced on February 3 the release of "NOWCARE Rapidez," a mask-specific allergen removal spray, as the third product in the NOWCARE series. After spraying NOWCARE Rapidez on the outside of the mask (the side that does not come into contact with the skin) for about two seconds, it has been confirmed that there is a reduction effect on allergens derived from cedar pollen in a short time. Additionally, a certain level of reduction effect has also been confirmed for allergens such as pollen from ragweed, dust mite feces and corpses, and cat and dog hair.

The Sekisui "GREEN LABEL" series is a new product line that minimizes the environmental impact on the Earth. Using plastic resource waste generated from households and discarded plastics from business activities as raw materials, it employs a unique sandwich molding technology to create a three-layer structure.
