A 3D laser scanner is a high-speed measuring device that collects data at a rate of tens of thousands of points per second over a full 360° range around a machine. The laser light travels back and forth between the laser scanner and the object without directly touching it, calculating the distance and acquiring three-dimensional coordinate values based on the angle and distance of the emitted light.
