The high-speed detector (power meter) for CO2 lasers from Germany's Fortec HTS company employs a thermoelectric element with a fast response speed (rise time of 1μs @300kHz) to measure the pulses of CO2 laser light. While it cannot measure laser output in absolute values, it is used to detect output fluctuations in relative values. There is also a type with a rise time of approximately 400ns available.
