Silicoloy is a new material that is a precipitation-hardened stainless steel containing high silicon, featuring high hardness and high corrosion resistance, along with multiple properties such as heat resistance, wear resistance, and anti-seizing properties. It contributes to maintenance-free and total cost reduction through the long lifespan of various key components, and enables the development of high-performance new products that were not possible before, through fine-tuning of hardness with low-temperature heat treatment and the combination of special heat treatments. In addition to Silicoloy, we provide more detailed information including comparative data with tool steels, stainless steels, and high alloys.
