Responding to the demand for rice flour as a substitute for wheat flour, capable of producing up to 50,000 tons annually, one of the largest in the country - Enhancements to the production line by next spring will make it possible to offer prices in the 90 yen range per kilogram, below that of wheat flour.

Mitake Food Industry Co., Ltd. has completed a new flour mill at its Kounosu factory and has begun full-scale operations. This will significantly reduce the price difference with wheat flour, enabling stable supply without being affected by the weak yen or international situations. Additionally, the variety of rice flour products will achieve a wide range of prices from 90 to 800 yen/kg, depending on order lot sizes and processing levels.
Through mass production, we can address not only price issues but also ensure stable product creation and consistent production of commercial premixes with potential demand, allowing us to respond to rice flour processed products as an alternative to wheat.
In the new factory, it is possible to directly load and store different types from trucks into silos, and we have realized an automated line for "selection, milling, and packaging." Furthermore, our group company, King Foods Co., Ltd., established a rice flour production line in 2021, securing flour milling bases in both the east and west as part of the Mitake Holdings Group, resulting in a total production capacity of 50,000 tons per year, one of the largest in Japan. The Kounosu factory is advancing further equipment investments and will continue to actively expand its business.
