Realizing the vision of self-driving cars: LOCTITE ABLESTIK NCA 3218 demonstrates excellent performance in bonding ADAS sensor lenses.
Henkel has launched a new innovative dual-curing adhesive specifically designed for bonding automotive ADAS cameras and LiDAR modules. The LOCTITE ABLESTIK NCA 3218, which utilizes a unique UV cationic and thermal dual-curing epoxy, is an ideal solution for bonding the barrel to the housing and the lens housing to the circuit board.
LOCTITE ABLESTIK NCA 3218 is a one-component dual-curing non-conductive adhesive that can be applied using a dispenser. Its high glass transition temperature (Tg) reduces interfacial stress, demonstrating excellent adhesion to substrates such as PCBs and various plastics (PBT, PPS) as well as aluminum. Additionally, its low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and stable low shrinkage result in minimal dimensional changes after curing. LOCTITE ABLESTIK NCA 3218 ensures long-term robustness and reliable performance throughout the entire lifespan of ADAS sensors. Its gray color, optimal for optical applications, prevents unintended light transmission, ensuring optimal light shielding and further enhancing the quality assurance of the sensors.
