[Cutter Problem-Solving Case] Using higher-grade materials than overseas products.

We would like to introduce a case study that addresses the concerns of customers regarding delivery times and pricing due to the use of overseas-made cutters.
■Problem
We were using overseas-made cutters, but there were concerns about delivery times and pricing. Due to the complexity of the blades and the lack of drawings, there were no domestic manufacturers capable of producing them, leaving us with no choice but to purchase from overseas.
■Proposal
Ultra-hard cutter NOVAS for food packaging machines
■Results
We were able to take measurements from the actual product and create drawings despite the absence of existing designs. By using a higher-grade material than the overseas products, we successfully extended the blade's lifespan, reduced the delivery time to about half, and lowered costs to about one-third.
■Case Summary
- Issue: Concerns about delivery times and pricing with overseas-made cutters; unable to manufacture domestically.
- Key points of the proposed product: Creating drawings from the actual product, material change proposal, shortening delivery times, and reducing costs.
