Protecting the landscape, protecting lives. The installation of SEAWALLs for landscape preservation and flood prevention in the Yuriage area of Miyagi Prefecture is progressing.

In the Yuriage area of Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, a seawall has been constructed. This area suffered significant damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake, and recovery has been slow, but the installation of the seawall is expected to enhance the safety of the region.
The construction of the seawall is an important measure to protect the area from flood damage caused by earthquakes and tsunamis. In the Yuriage area, a seawall equipped with acrylic windows has been built around the selected port area. The seawall features acrylic windows that are 30mm thick, 1000mm high, and 2500mm wide.
The installation of the seawall involved the use of specialized equipment and materials, including acrylic windows, and optimal design and construction methods were considered after prior discussions and trial and error.
The completed seawall harmonizes with the local landscape, and its beauty is further enhanced when the sun shines. Local residents and stakeholders express their gratitude for the careful work and its results.
The installation of this seawall significantly contributes to the region's flood control measures and the enhancement of disaster prevention awareness. We hope that efforts to ensure the safety of the community will continue.
