Conexio starts a communication redundancy service utilizing IIJ's "Multi-Profile SIM".

Connectio Inc., an IoT system integrator (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Rikiichiro Medoki, hereinafter referred to as Connectio), has decided to sell the "Multi-Profile SIM" provided by Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Eijiro Katsu, hereinafter referred to as IIJ). This SIM has been implemented in the edge computing gateway "CONEXIOBlackBear," and the provision of communication redundancy services has begun.
The "Multi-Profile SIM" offered by IIJ allows a single SIM card to connect to multiple different mobile communication lines. This time, the "Multi-Profile SIM" has been implemented in the edge computing gateway "CONEXIOBlackBear." When "CONEXIOBlackBear" detects a communication failure in the main line, it automatically switches to the sub-line, ensuring a stable communication environment. Additionally, the main line uses a flat-rate domestic MVNO utilizing NTT Docomo's communication network, while the sub-line adopts a pay-as-you-go roaming line, which can be switched to for emergency communication, keeping costs low.
