The AX58100 provides two process data interfaces (PDI), a local bus slave and an SPI slave, supporting connections with the most common MCUs and DSPs in traditional non-EtherCAT fieldbus applications. The AX58100 offers two memory spaces, ESC and function, allowing designers to determine which chip to access using chip select. The bridge synchronizes the contents of the two memory spaces with the EtherCAT master and remotely controls the functions of the AX58100 (such as PWM and SPI master).
