Standard EtherCAT slave controller with dual-core MCU.
The AX58400 EtherCAT slave controller, which incorporates a dual-core MCU, is a SiP product based on STMicroelectronics' STM32H755 microcontroller. It features a dual-core 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 core with DSP extensions (operating at up to 480MHz) and a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 core with an adaptive real-time accelerator (operating at up to 240MHz), along with an integrated EtherCAT slave controller (with 2 FE PHYs). The device includes an AES/TDES/HASH/HMAC hardware cryptographic accelerator, ROP/PCROP/tamper-proof security technologies, a true random number generator, and supports additional communication interfaces such as 10/100Mbps Ethernet MAC, USB OTG, camera I/F, TFT LCD controller, JPEG codec, SPI/UART/I2C/I2S/SAI/CAN/SDMMC/ADC/DAC/HDMI CEC/PWM/DFSDM, making it interoperable with all EtherCAT systems equipped with standard EtherCAT protocols such as CoE, FoE, and VoE.
