【PRESS RELEASE】SPACECOOL membrane material adopted for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo Gas Pavilion.
SPACECOOL Co., Ltd. is expected to utilize the membrane material 'SPACECOOL', developed in collaboration with Cambou Plus Co., Ltd., in the gas pavilion to be exhibited by the Japan Gas Association at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, which is scheduled to be held on Yumeshima. SPACECOOL enables cooling with zero energy consumption, reducing the air conditioning load of the gas pavilion and contributing to low carbonization.
In membrane structure buildings such as the gas pavilion, the use of certified non-combustible materials and membrane materials is mandated by the Building Standards Act, as stipulated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Currently, we have obtained certification for non-combustible materials (certification number NM5553) and plan to obtain certification for membrane materials (Type B) in the future. It is anticipated that products with certification for membrane materials (Type B) will be adopted.
