An innovative method for manufacturing PDMS devices - soluble sacrificial resin + precision 3D printing.

BMF has announced the launch of a newly developed resin product called "soluble sacrificial resin." This unique resin can be dissolved with thermal alkali after curing, making it particularly suitable for mold printing for PDMS casting and injection molding. The distinctive properties of this material provide more flexible and economical solutions for the manufacturing industry.
High-speed and high-precision production of PDMS devices
PDMS is a widely used material for various biological pharmaceutical-related products and scientific research devices. By printing a master mold with the sacrificial resin, transferring it with PDMS, and then dissolving the master mold with thermal alkali, it is possible to easily and quickly create PDMS devices with precise and complex three-dimensional microstructures.
Mold printing for injection molding of other resins
The materials suitable for light-curing 3D printing are limited. By printing molds for injection molding using sacrificial resin and then performing injection molding with common engineering plastics (e.g., POM), it is possible to break through the limitations of light-curable materials and obtain special parts that cannot be manufactured with conventional injection molding or direct 3D printing.
