The largest sweet potato sorting facility in the country has released a video of its traceability system, digitizing producer information and providing DX support that minimizes the burden on farmers without the need for smartphones or apps.

Japan Distribution Management Support Organization Co., Ltd. has released a video introducing service examples of the traceability system for export sweet potatoes provided at the Tomakomai shipping facility, one of the largest sweet potato sorting plants in Japan, since 2022.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries aims to increase the export value of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food to 2 trillion yen by 2025 and 5 trillion yen by 2030, and is implementing measures to expand exports. However, there are challenges such as significant costs incurred domestically due to complaints from export destinations that cannot identify the causes.
Our traceability system, "Agriculture and Fisheries Traceability," digitizes information about producers and others simply by passing it through a conveyor, contributing to identifying causes of spoilage and resolving issues at the export destination.
