Refresh of the Sukiya Gate and Entrance Part 2
This is a continuation from the last time.
Work from the second day onward.
"Shaving" - Unlike sanding with a sander or paper, it brings out the luster. (Also the scent of wood)
"Washing" - Remove overall dirt with hydrogen peroxide solution.
"Stain removal" - Stain removal with phosphoric acid and paint strippers, as well as alkaline agents, will proceed while monitoring the situation.
"Polishing" - Smooth out the surface fuzz with a sander or paper.
Afternoon of the fifth day~
The gate section is finished, and we are finally starting on the entrance area.
We will progress towards completion by repeating the processes of shaving, washing, stain removal, and polishing.
"Shaving" → Scraping the rough surface with a scraper reveals a smooth and beautiful wood grain.
"Washing & Stain removal" → Since it has been exposed to rain, the dirt is severe, so we will repeat the work to clean it up.
"Polishing" → The wide areas will be done with a sander, while the finer details will be done by hand to smooth the surface.
To be continued in Part 3.
