This figure, which is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.0%, is projected to reach 22.4 million units by 2028. In terms of installations, telematics for trailers is currently the most developed market, followed by tracking devices for intermodal transport containers. The number of tracking devices and real-time data loggers used for general cargo applications is expected to increase from 2.5 million units at the end of 2023 to 7.9 million units by the end of 2028.
