Queensland announced a groundbreaking initiative for decarbonization in the aviation industry at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo.

Queensland, Australia, August 1, 2025 - (JCN Newswire) - At the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, Stralis Aircraft, an innovator in the aerospace industry in Queensland, has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Joint Research Center for Electrification Systems at Akita University and Akita Prefectural University, marking a groundbreaking step in international cooperation in the decarbonization sector of the aviation industry.

Under this agreement, Stralis will conduct tests of hydrogen electric propulsion systems at a groundbreaking testing facility in Akita Prefecture operated by the Joint Research Center for Electrification Systems. This testing facility is one of the most advanced of its kind in Japan.
