Further air purification with Plasma Cluster technology! Torunex Inc. will renew its "smoke separation and deodorization booth" in November 2025.
Tornex Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells smoking area systems and residential ventilation filters, has evolved its already highly deodorizing "smoking separation deodorization booth" to further improve air quality, announcing a renewed model equipped with Sharp Corporation's "Plasmacluster" technology. Shipments will begin sequentially from orders placed in November 2025.
In response to the growing social demand regarding smoking environments, the importance of measures against passive smoking and odor control in both indoor and outdoor settings is increasing. In particular, the "technical standards for smoking rooms" based on the revised Health Promotion Law stipulate conditions such as:
- Wind speed at the entrance and exit of the smoking room must be 0.2 m/s or higher
- The concentration of suspended particulate matter in the air discharged outdoors must be 0.015 mg/m³ or lower
- The removal rate of TVOC (total volatile organic compounds) must be 95% or higher
Products and equipment that meet these criteria are in high demand.
The newly announced model enhances functionality based on previous performance. Equipped with Sharp's "Plasmacluster," it effectively suppresses tobacco odors and fine particles, and an additional air purification function has been added. Compared to the conventional model, it achieves improved air cleanliness after exhaust.
