Mycotoxins (fungal toxins) are toxins produced by fungi (secondary metabolites). They pose a significant challenge for ensuring the safety of food and feed, and interest in mycotoxin contamination in food is increasing in Japan. Our company offers a wide range of mycotoxin (fungal toxin) standards and standard solutions to meet various analytical needs, including representative mycotoxins such as aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol, and patulin, as well as ochratoxin A and the harder-to-obtain ochratoxins B and C, along with various surrogate substances. We also handle substances that are not included in our lineup. Even if we do not have them in stock, we can source from multiple overseas manufacturers. A training kit for off-flavors that shares expressions of "smell," which vary from person to person.

Off-flavors refer to unusual or unpleasant odors in food and beverages. This can diminish the inherent value of products and has become a significant issue in the food industry. The human sense of smell is the best tool for detecting off-flavors. By utilizing off-flavor kits, it is possible to experience and share off-flavors, as well as train sensory panels for olfactory assessments. At Hayashi Junyaku Kogyo, we offer an "Off-Flavor Kit" that includes samples of common off-flavors in food, such as chemical odors and musty smells, along with "Off-Flavor Kit II," which features polyvinyl and metallic odors derived from packaging and manufacturing materials. (These are co-developed products with the Off-Flavor Research Association.) We also provide a service to prepare compounds and concentrations for training purposes upon request, so please feel free to contact us.

Ultra-pure water that is suitable for PFAS analysis with a 'low blank' and is 'single-use'.

PFOS, PFOA, PFHxS, and their salts are not easily decomposed in the natural environment, and they have become significant issues as they are now regulated substances. In PFAS analysis, if the target compounds are present in the ultrapure water used as a solvent, accurate measurement results cannot be obtained. Our ultrapure water is suitable for PFAS analysis, including PFOS (perfluorooctanesulfonic acid) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid), which are designated as water quality management target items, as well as PFHxS (perfluorohexanesulfonic acid), which has recently gained attention as a subject for further consideration, and is managed with low blanks. Additionally, to prevent contamination, we provide it in optimal volumes for a single analysis. We have confirmed that the quality remains unchanged for two years if unopened.
