Published examples of monitoring sensors using stretchable implementation for thin and flexible medical and nursing care equipment.
JOHNAN DMS has updated its "Implementation on Stretchable Films" webpage and has newly published examples of the use of "monitoring sensors" in the medical and nursing care fields. Our component mounting technology on stretchable and flexible film substrates enables product development that was difficult with conventional rigid substrates or FPC (flexible printed circuits).
■ Three newly published application images (illustrations)
- For beds and mattresses: Wide-area thin sensors that detect body movement and getting out of bed
- For floor mats: Flexible sensors that support fall prevention and wandering detection
- For toilet seats: Curved-following sensors that enable the acquisition of biometric information
■ Strengths of JOHNAN DMS's stretchable implementation
Excellent followability: By adopting stretchable materials such as polyurethane, it follows the actions of "bending and stretching" even after mounting.
Wearable compatibility: Adds sensing functions to areas that come into direct contact with the skin and to complex curved surfaces.
Comprehensive support: Provides support from the idea stage of PoC (proof of concept) through prototyping, pre-mass production verification, and mass production.
Please make use of our technology in the development of applied products for medical and nursing care, as well as clothing applications.
