[Case] Fuel efficiency improvement of 26% compared to the same month last year - Foreign-affiliated city hotel group A (Hokkaido)

Fuel consumption has been reduced by 26% compared to the same month in 2008. Daily fuel usage has decreased from 2800 liters/day to 730 liters/day, resulting in a cost reduction of 51,000 yen per day at a heavy oil price of 70 yen. This is equivalent to about 8 rooms in terms of business hotel rates.
Initially, the person in charge was skeptical, wondering, "Can the combustion efficiency of the boiler really change with such a liquid?" However, due to the almost nonexistent implementation risk, they responded, "There’s no reason to refuse. Let’s give it a try," and we started the implementation. After introducing Tank Tiger into the fuel tank, we saw a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency. However, at that time, there was a regular inspection of the boiler, and some suggested that this figure might be due to adjustments made during the inspection. To verify the effect, we stopped using Tank Tiger for a month, and as expected, fuel efficiency dropped by 20% and returned to its previous state.
Currently, we have resumed using Tank Tiger, and in December 2009, we marked a 65% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the same month last year. It was noted that it is astonishing that fuel consumption is maintained between 950 and 1200 liters/day during this period. Preparations are currently underway for a group-wide implementation.
