December 1, 2016 - "UPSS" awarded the 28th Annual Kyoto Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Award!

The "Kyoto Small and Medium Enterprises Technology Grand Prize," the most prestigious award given to small and medium-sized enterprises in Kyoto for the development of outstanding new products and technologies by the Kyoto Industrial 21 Public Interest Incorporated Foundation, has been awarded to the Superheated Steam Generation System (UPSS). Developed and commercialized in 2012, the UPSS has steadily increased its sales and has been recognized with this grand prize as a uniquely innovative product that embodies our core technology. Additionally, five individuals who played key roles in the product development of the UPSS—Toru Sonomura from the Production Headquarters, Yukio Tamaoki from the Kyoto Manufacturing Department, Yasuhiro Fujimoto from the U Manufacturing Section of the Kyoto Manufacturing Department, Takashi Kitano from the Development Group, and Masayoshi Kimura—have been selected as outstanding engineers. It is a great honor for our company to be chosen for this grand prize, which is awarded to only one excellent company each year based in Kyoto Prefecture. We will continue to strive for technological advancement and work towards creating even better products.
