We have released the latest version 1.2 of gPROMS Process Builder (June 28, 2017).
In the latest version, the steady-state and dynamic process modeling features have been updated, and a faithful model-based separation model library, new library features for the design of wastewater treatment plants, site utility systems, and operational analysis have been added. Additionally, the new olefin library enables detailed modeling and optimization of ethylene plant cracking furnaces.
The Fixed-Bed Catalytic Reactor (AML:FBCR) library has been significantly improved, and the new Trickle-Bed Reactor library allows for the design of wet surface catalytic reactions such as benzene hydrogenation, hydrotreating, and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, along with powerful new features for Global System Analysis (GSA) and High-Performance Computing (HPC).
To accelerate large-scale optimization and GSA applications in HPC, full utilization of multiprocessor/multicore machines is possible. The new dynamic solver can now perform dynamic simulations, optimization, and parameter estimation activities at five times the speed.
