Launch of the ultra-high insulation vacuum glass "Super Spacia(R)"

Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO Shigeki Mori) announced on October 2 the launch of its ultra-high insulation vacuum glass "Super Spacia(R)."
The vacuum glass "Spacia(R)" is the world's first high-insulation window glass successfully commercialized by Nippon Sheet Glass. By trapping a 0.2mm vacuum layer between two glass panes, it achieves insulation performance approximately four times that of single glass and about twice that of typical double-glazed glass. Since its release in October 1997, it has received positive feedback and has expanded its lineup.
The newly released "Super Spacia(R)" improves insulation performance by approximately 54% compared to the vacuum glass "Spacia(R)," achieving insulation performance equivalent to or greater than that of 50mm thick glass wool, while being only 10.2mm thick.
【Insulation Performance Improvement Technology】
"Super Spacia(R)" enhances insulation performance by expanding the spacing of the micro spacers that maintain the vacuum layer between the two glass panes from 20mm to 28mm, thereby reducing heat conduction through the spacers by half.
