The 1U size allows for space-saving, enabling large-capacity long-distance transmission and reduction of fiber costs through center interconnection.

The transmission port features detachable 8 pairs of multi-rate SFP/SFP+ ports, capable of transmitting up to 80G in a single-core/dual-core bidirectional configuration or 40G in two sets of single-core bidirectional using WDM. Optionally, high-density WDM filters and amplifiers can be added within the same chassis, enabling space-saving long-distance transmission. This allows for significant total cost reductions in fiber costs and network nodes. The transmission ports can be paired and used independently as 8 separate repeaters (media converters). *DCWDM2108 allows for mixed port configurations such as 1GE/OC48/10GE/OC192, but rate conversion is not possible. It is equipped with local and remote monitoring functions (SNMP/syslog) via LAN and OSC, as well as local monitoring through a serial console and office alarm contacts.

OTN61002 is a 10G OTN repeater that supports 2-channel multi-service. It can operate as a remote terminal in point-to-point applications or applications using the DCWDM2108H series. In recent years, the implementation of maintenance DX to achieve "non-stop factories" has become an urgent necessity in manufacturing sites. Amid the trend of factory IoT and data utilization, the use of remote I/O, which can remotely aggregate and collect sensor information and control signals from equipment and sensors dispersed inside and outside the factory, is gaining importance as a foundation for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring. On the other hand, the installation environment for remote I/O is not necessarily limited to control panels or well-conditioned factory interiors.
