The laboratory centrifuge "LAC Series" features an extremely thin disc-shaped rotating basket and employs transparent glass on both sides, allowing for direct observation of the state and changes of the processed materials (crystals, liquids) during rotation. Additionally, when considering scaling up to actual manufacturing machines, the thickness of the crystal layer within the basket is deemed necessary to some extent to assess filtration resistance, leading to the decision to maximize the diameter of the rotating body. Conversely, regarding the height of the basket, it is considered that during scaling up, only the expansion of the filtration area needs to be taken into account, resulting in the thickness being minimized as much as possible. Therefore, Fukuda has developed a copper-free (all stainless steel) air leak tester that can be safely used in the production lines of battery manufacturers and secondary battery manufacturing equipment manufacturers.
