Smooth, rough, silky... Depending on the material and surface finish, stainless steel shows various appearances. However, it is not possible to see what the actual surface looks like just by visual inspection. Therefore, this time, we will introduce photographs of stainless steel surfaces taken using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). *What is a scanning electron microscope (SEM)?* Unlike optical microscopes (such as magnifying glasses and general microscopes) that use light, a scanning electron microscope uses electron beams. It allows us to clearly see fine surface structures that cannot be observed with optical microscopes.

Our company manufactures products using stainless steel, but recently we have seen an increase in the design and production of Inconel (Hastelloy) containers. Here, we would like to introduce examples of custom-made Inconel products that we have manufactured and delivered as completely bespoke orders!

We are conducting demonstrations and experiments with stainless steel containers! Here are three examples summarized from past experiments!

1. Pressure Transfer of Gyoza Filling Nitto Metal Industry Co., Ltd. offers rental of demonstration machines. This time, we received a request from a food user to create a container for transferring gyoza filling under pressure, and we will conduct a pressure transfer experiment using our demonstration machine. We will share part of the results. 2. Pressure Rupture Experiment of Jacket Containers Jacket containers are stainless steel containers that allow for temperature control. However, there are times when customers mistakenly apply pressure to the jacket container, leading to its rupture. Such ruptures can result in injuries to operators and significant accidents due to the splattering of the liquid inside. We conducted an experiment to determine how dangerous it is when pressure is applied to a jacket container. 3. Transferring High Viscosity Liquids Without Spillage "Do anti-drip beakers prevent any liquid from dripping?" High viscosity liquids take time to clean up when spilled. When dealing with hazardous liquids, it is even more crucial to prevent drips. In this experiment, we used our anti-drip beaker to transfer a high viscosity liquid. Can we successfully transfer the high viscosity liquid without spilling it around?

We sometimes receive inquiries from customers saying, "Even though it's made of stainless steel, it rusted quickly." Stainless steel, as the English words "Stain (rust, corrosion) + less (less) + steel (steel)" suggest, is an alloy of iron that is highly resistant to rust. While it is much less prone to rust compared to regular iron, it is not completely rust-proof. Contec has added a BTO menu for the Windows 11-based embedded OS - Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 to its industrial computer "MR4310 series" and has started accepting orders.

Contec has developed the Ethernet wireless converters "RP-WAH-SR12" and "RP-WAH-SR22," which utilize 920MHz sub-gigahertz wireless (IEEE 802.11ah) to enable Ethernet communication wirelessly even at distances of up to 1 km. Sales began on August 21, 2025. The new products are compact IEEE 802.11ah compliant wireless LAN converters that can be installed in various locations. Contec has developed a super compact business computer equipped with the Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra processor (Series 1), and has started accepting orders for the business computer "LPC-500 Series" (hereinafter referred to as the new product) from August 28, 2025.
