The transmission port features detachable 8 pairs of multi-rate SFP/SFP+ ports, capable of transmitting up to 80G in a single-core/dual-core bidirectional configuration or 40G in two sets of single-core bidirectional using WDM. Optionally, high-density WDM filters and amplifiers can be added within the same chassis, enabling space-saving long-distance transmission. This allows for significant total cost reductions in fiber costs and network nodes. The transmission ports can be paired and used independently as 8 separate repeaters (media converters). *DCWDM2108 allows for mixed port configurations such as 1GE/OC48/10GE/OC192, but rate conversion is not possible.
