News Release: Launch of the Laser Cantilever Flow Meter 2D-LCA

Seka Digital Image Co., Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Seika Sangyo, which has been selling products from the American company MSE, a manufacturer of laser velocimeters, for many years, will begin accepting orders for the completely new type of velocimeter, the laser cantilever velocimeter "2D-LCA," which overcomes the weaknesses of hot-wire velocimeters developed by MSE and the German company ForWIND, starting December 18, with shipments scheduled to begin sequentially from the end of March 2020.
About the laser cantilever velocimeter 2D-LCA:
The laser cantilever velocimeter detects the flow direction and flow velocity by using a precisely manufactured cantilever that bends slightly due to the flow, with the degree of bending detected by a laser and a two-dimensional detector. The main body is protected by a robust housing, allowing for flow velocity measurements in environments where it was difficult to measure with fragile hot-wire velocimeters. Additionally, it does not require calibration each time it is used, and one unit can measure flow velocity in both air and water. The interface uses USB, significantly improving signal speed and achieving time-series measurements of up to 150 kHz.
