Renovation of the wooden bridge spanning the moat of Fukuoka Castle Ruins in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture was carried out. A contract for precise inspection of the deteriorated existing wooden bridge was undertaken, and a report was submitted to conduct renovation design. Instead of being wooden, the beams are made of steel, the floorboards are made of composite wood, and the handrails are steel pipes coated with wood-like resin.
At Xyence, we are engaged in the renovation of various wooden bridges as effective utilization of stock.
・Inayama Zelkova Forest (Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture) reused steel beams and fully renovated the wooden parts.
・Nanasu Waterfall Park (Kita Ward, Tokyo) reused only the foundation and fully renovated the wooden parts.
・Nopporo Forest Park (Sapporo City, Hokkaido) reused existing laminated timber beams after applying preservatives. The floorboards and handrails were replaced.
