Notice of Expansion of VLAC ISO/IEC 17025 Testing Laboratory Accreditation Scope for Vehicle-mounted Equipment EMC Testing (Tokyo Area)

The newly established EMC lab dedicated to automotive equipment within the JQA Safety Electromagnetic Center (Hachioji City, Tokyo) has expanded its ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation obtained from the Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing Laboratory (VLAC) and has newly added items for automotive equipment EMC testing. We will issue test reports with the VLAC accredited logo bearing the ILAC MRA mark.

Our organization has expanded the ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation obtained from the Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing Center (VLAC) for the newly established EMC lab dedicated to vehicle equipment at JQA Tama Technopark (Hachioji City, Tokyo), and has newly added items for vehicle equipment EMC testing. As a result, it is now possible to issue test reports with the VLAC accredited logo bearing the ILAC MRA mark.
Recently, the newly established EMC lab dedicated to vehicle equipment at JQA Tama Technopark (Hachioji City, Tokyo) has received accreditation from the VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency), which is the vehicle certification authority of the UK Department for Transport, and has become an accredited testing laboratory for ECE Regulation 10 in E-mark certification. We provide total support from conducting tests to the procedures related to certification acquisition and the preparation of application documents necessary for certification.
Our organization has newly established an EMC lab dedicated to vehicle equipment at JQA Tama Technopark (Hachioji City, Tokyo) and started testing services in January 2021. We have installed two anechoic chambers specifically for vehicle equipment, testing facilities that can accommodate various specifications from different manufacturers, power supply equipment capable of supplying up to 1,000 volts, and a reverberation chamber, among others. Additionally, an EMC lab dedicated to vehicle equipment will be constructed in the Nagoya area in May 2021.
Our organization conducts EMC testing for automotive electronic devices at our locations in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. We are capable of testing according to international standards such as CISPR and ISO standards, as well as standards from various countries and those set by automobile manufacturers.
