Launch of the Scrap Cutter "SCR2 Series"

Sankyo Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will begin selling the "SCR2 Series" scrap cutter, which achieves high-speed and high-efficiency press lines, starting August 2.
In recent years, with the high-speed production and thinning of motor cores, there have been issues with scrap cutting of skeleton materials that act as bottlenecks in high-speed production. This is due to the tendency for the skeleton material, fed from the mold via a "PUSH-PULL" feed, to bend or break during transport to the cutter because of instability. To address this, it is important to shorten the distance between the feeding device and the cutter.
The SCR2 is a cam mechanism scrap cutter that achieves the world's thinnest specification of "160mm," preventing bending caused by instability in thin sheets during high-speed production, thus enabling high speed and durability. Its close installation with the feeding device reduces transport troubles of skeleton materials and contributes to improving the productivity of the press line.
