Released a gear shaper specialized for high-precision small module gears for robots.

In March 2021, we launched the gear shaper "SE25FR Plus," specialized for high-precision small modular gears used in robots. We also released dedicated cutting tools for small modules compatible with this machining system, responding to the growing demand for high precision in precision reduction mechanisms required in the expanding global robot market.
The SE25FR Plus achieves high rotational accuracy by employing a direct-drive motor and ultra-precision bearings in its core components, the table and cutter head, which are essential for high-precision wave gear devices. This allows for a gear machining precision class of ISO Class 3, enabling more precise cutting compared to the ISO Class 6 SE25FR.
Additionally, the small modular cutting tools launched simultaneously with the SE25FR Plus feature newly developed specialized tool materials and a coating for micro-machining called "MightyShield μ." The tool materials utilize carbide with enhanced toughness and wear resistance, while the coating is applied uniformly in a thin film of less than 2μm, which does not affect tooth profile errors, achieving excellent machining surface shapes and meeting "sub-micron" level tooth profile requirements even with difficult-to-cut materials.
