POSCO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, President: Jota Koizumi) is pleased to announce that its electronic medical record and receipt-linked POS system "ResePOS(R)" for the medical industry, as well as its POS system for the retail industry, have been certified as eligible tools for the IT introduction subsidy 2022 under the supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2019 and the supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2021, specifically for the "Subsidy for IT Introduction to Improve Service Productivity." POSCO will provide consultations regarding this application.

Recently, we delivered RecePOS to an ophthalmology clinic in Okinawa Prefecture. They have introduced a semi-self checkout system, which has been gaining more interest among our lineup. Before the introduction of the semi-self checkout type register, there were often concerns about whether elderly patients would be able to operate it well, but once operations began, it was often reassuring to see them adapting to the operation better than expected.
Recently, my client, Workway Co., Ltd., which operates over 15 stores selling uniforms, work supplies, and casual wear primarily in Kochi Prefecture, opened a new store in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The company has expanded its stores not only in Kochi Prefecture but also in Kagawa and Ehime Prefectures, and this will be their second store in Takamatsu City. They have adopted a system that integrates with an automatic change machine and is linked to a credit card payment terminal.
In my daily conversations with customers, I have been receiving more inquiries from customers visiting our store (clinic) who wish to pay with "credit cards," "electronic money," or "QR code payments," leading to an increase in discussions about considering implementation. POSCO's POS cash register system can integrate with cashless payment terminals, eliminating the need for manual input of amounts and reducing human errors.
In recent years, opportunities to attract interest in RecePOS have increased, aimed at infection control and alleviating labor shortages. We hope to assist in reducing the burden of accounting operations with POSCO's system, which offers various functions tailored to different operations.
