We have introduced a "solar-powered LED signboard" in Mizumaki Town, Fukuoka Prefecture. It is being used as a guidepost to indicate directions and the locations of buildings within the town. The signboard is illuminated at night, allowing visitors for business or tourism to move around the town with peace of mind.
■ About the LED Signboard (Solar-Powered on the Back)
The solar panel is installed on the back of the signboard (the side opposite the display), generating and storing electricity by receiving sunlight. This allows for easy and quick installation without the need for electrical work. (Note: Installation work alone completes the construction.) Unlike methods that mount the solar panel on top, this design offers a cohesive and sleek appearance. One of the advantages is that it saves space.
■ Utilization of Clean Energy
The power source utilizes renewable energy, specifically "solar power." This can reduce carbon dioxide emissions to zero, contributing to decarbonization efforts. It harmonizes with the concept and atmosphere of the nature-rich Mizumaki Town, promoting new value that creates a sustainable environment.
