We have introduced the solar-powered, battery-integrated, cordless LED evacuation sign "Design Solar Panel" to Minabe Town, Wakayama Prefecture.

Minabe Town is located in the southwestern part of Wakayama Prefecture, in the Hidaka District. It is blessed with rich natural resources such as hills, forests, valleys, and coastlines. On the other hand, facing the Pacific Ocean, extensive measures have been implemented to address disasters caused by tsunamis.
This time, we have introduced our "Design Solar Panels" as evacuation guidance to provide information for directing people to evacuation centers. The Design Solar Panel is a "cordless illuminated evacuation sign" that incorporates solar cells within its display surface. At first glance, it looks like a regular display board, but it has the capability of independent power generation due to the built-in solar panel.

Using the generated electricity, it lights up at night, brightly illuminating the evacuation sign. There is no need for electrical work for lighting, construction procedures, daily electricity costs, or wiring, contributing to cost reduction and simplification of installation. Additionally, since the solar cells are not exposed, it has a neat appearance and a tidy impression. This minimizes the "impact on the landscape" that beautiful scenery created by rich nature, like that of Minabe Town, might otherwise experience.
The installation of the evacuation signs has been appreciated for raising awareness of disaster prevention centers.
