This facility, owned by the Douglas County Rural Water District 3 in Kansas, operates two water treatment plants and a distribution network of 280 miles (approximately 450 km). The facility faced several issues regarding TOC measurements, as the values obtained from existing equipment did not match those from a state-certified third-party organization that was sending samples. As a solution, they introduced the "QbD1200." This allowed them to obtain highly accurate TOC data necessary for optimizing coagulant treatment, and during the demo period, they brought samples to a certified lab in Lawrence, where they found a correlation between the "QbD1200" and the data from the city of Lawrence.
