Measurement of TOC (Total Organic Carbon) in the Pulp and Paper Industry - Case Studies on Management Leading to Compliance with Wastewater Regulations, Optimization of Wastewater Treatment Processes, and Cost Reduction.

In the paper industry manufacturing process, a large amount of water is consumed, resulting in significant wastewater containing high concentrations of suspended solids (SS), BOD (biochemical oxygen demand), and COD (chemical oxygen demand).
In this seminar, we will introduce the differences and correlations between BOD, COD, and TOC measurements, as well as methods for online wastewater monitoring. We will also present examples of how TOC measurement can be utilized not only for compliance with wastewater regulations but also for managing product loss.
We encourage those outside the paper industry, especially those facing challenges with measuring high-concentration wastewater, to participate.
